The problem

Most people cannot say where last month's money went. Bank statements are long, dull and hard to read.

What I built

  • Drop or paste a bank statement and get a money trail.
  • Money that came in is a still pool. Each spending category flows out as a channel whose width is its share of money out.
  • Tap a channel to see the transactions inside it.
  • Built to read in five seconds and to be worth sharing, in an editorial, Lagos-lagoon-inspired style that avoids the purple-and-green fintech look.
  • Privacy by design: statements are processed on the device, raw statements are never uploaded or stored, and a visible Clear my data control is always there.

How it works

  1. 1

    Statement

Dropped or pasted by the user.

  2. 2

    On-device parse

    Nothing is uploaded or stored.

  3. 3

    Categorise

Each transaction goes into a spending category.

  4. 4

    Money trail

A still pool of income with channels flowing out, sized by share.

  5. 5

    Drill in

Tap a channel to see its transactions.
